I’ve always enjoyed university towns. The variety of students and promises of innovation and discovery energize me and make me want to go back to school.
Maybe that’s why in some form I’ve continued to stay involved with universities throughout my career: getting two degrees, teaching undergrad and graduate classes, and even working as head of events at the University of California Los Angeles.
What if we all stayed committed to lifelong learning? Pushing our brains to take in new information aids in brain health and also helps us grow, personally and professionally.
At SITE, we’re excited to announce a few ways you can continue to learn and grow, no matter what stage of life you’re in.
#1: April 14 webinar on the educational value of incentive travel — join a seasoned panel of incentive professionals as they discuss how incentives can add educational value as a well as reward and recognition. Register for free here.
#2: educational scholarship — SITE Foundation is offering one $5,000 award to a SITE member pursuing any industry-relevant education. This doesn’t have to be a degree program or one specific to our events. For example, you could be taking business, leadership or marketing courses. The deadline to apply is June 2. You can find more information here.
#3: LearnHUB, SITE’s new education platform — this spring, we will launch a new learning hub on SITE’s website. In this hub, you’ll be able to view on-demand courses, register for webinars and certifications, and track all of your learning opportunities in a single place. Use this to chart your professional growth plan.
So this year, keep on growing. We’ll see you in class!
