Meet the SITE team — Dani Kloap

w

This week, SITE welcomed Dani Kloap as our new Chapter Relations Specialist. Dani will work closely with Head of Membership & Chapter Engagement Dallas Lyons III to support local leaders and help SITE continue to grow its network of global chapters.

For those eager to get to know our newest team member, here’s what drives Dani and makes her an excellent fit within SITE’s professional folds!

Q: Welcome to SITE, Dani! What would you like our community to know about you first and foremost?

A: I have spent the last nine years supporting membership associations in education for members and chapter operations, where I developed a passion for leadership development.

I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in adult education. I use my professional experiences as a journalist, graphic designer, salesperson and association professional to help support chapter leaders and members.

Some fun facts about me are I teach baton twirling and am an adoptive mom to a 7-year-old boy and two 17-year-old girls.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about shifting over to an incentive travel-focused association and engaging with SITE's network of fantastic chapters?

A: I’m really thrilled about the opportunity to immerse myself in the incentive travel sector with SITE.

I’ve always been passionate about creating meaningful connections within communities, and SITE’s vibrant network of chapters offers the perfect platform for that. I’m looking forward to collaborating with chapter leaders and members to enhance their operations and chapter experience.

Q: Are there specific skills you think are must-haves for chapter leaders today, that you're excited to help SITE members create, cultivate, and build?

A: In today's environment, chapter leaders must be adaptive, flexible and think outside the box to foster growth and retention within their chapters. I'm excited to help SITE chapter leaders enhance these skills through resources, education and support!

Q: Do you have any other tips to help incentive professionals balance demanding work schedules with opportunities to get involved with a SITE chapter, as a volunteer leader?

A: Balancing demanding work schedules with being a SITE volunteer chapter leader can be achieved by integrating volunteer activities into your routine and treating them as an extension of your professional development. Leveraging SITE’s network and choosing roles that align with your career can make the experience more rewarding!

Q: Where in the world is next on your to-visit list?

A: We're currently planning our next family vacation to Denver! I have so many dream destinations I want to visit, but two of my biggest bucket list destinations include Germany and Greece. I am a lover of history and would love to visit historical sites in these two destinations!

Dani officially started with SITE in mid-June 2024, and can be reached at dkloap@siteglobal.com
