One of the many things that makes SITE such a strong organization is the grassroots efforts of our members to share their passion, excitement and appreciation for all that the association offers them on social media.
As we get ready to head to New York for our 50th Anniversary and Global Conference 2023, we wanted to share a few tips on how your post can help build buzz and energy for SITE online.
Thanks in advance for sharing your SITE Love!
Follow the SITE pages and be an active fan by engaging with the posts:
Tag SITE and/or your local SITE chapter
Simply use @ and then type “SITE” or “SITE Chapter Name” and it should appear in the drop-down menu to click on.
Follow as many SITE chapters as you want, as you don’t have to affiliated directly with that chapter to engage with their content. This is a great way to meet more SITE members around the world and see what activities other chapters have going on.
Use hashtags (#)
This serves as a way to track like-content and connect similar-themed posts.
Official SITE hashtags include:
- #SITEunite — general hashtag for all things SITE
- #beinSITE — anything membership driven
- #SITEGC – if post is related to the Global Conference
- #SITEClassic – if post is related to SITE Classic
- #SITEISA – if post is related to SITE Incentive Summit America
- #SITEISE – if post is related to SITE Incentive Summit Europe
- #SITENITE – if post is related to SITE NITE at IMEX America or IMEX Europe
- #SITE50 – for anything related to the 50th Anniversary Celebration
Note: #SITEstrong – this was mainly used during the pandemic and has been retired. Other chapters may also have their own hashtags, often #SITE(chapter).
Other hashtags you can use to attract the right audience:
#IncentiveTravel
#Incentives
#IncentiveProfs – incentive professionals
#EventProfs – event professionals
Final tips
Everyone loves to be recognized, so tag individuals as well by using @(their name) and then clicking on their name to tag them in your post. This is great to recognize board members, chapter leaders, and your fellow members.
Also, share your appreciation for any sponsors that make our SITE’s events possible. Tag the venue or supporting host partners to thank them for the event. Just type @(Venue Name) and/or @(Partner) and they should appear in a dropdown menu to tag them.
On behalf of SITE, thanks for showing your social media love!
