What’s ahead in 2023 for SITE Young Leaders

Our thanks — and congratulations! — to Ashley Krueger, the author of today’s post and our new Young Leaders representative on the SITE International Board of Directors (IBOD).

It is such a humbling experience to be elected by our membership to represent the Young Leaders on the International Board of Directors.

SITE Young Leaders has had a profound impact on both my professional and personal growth and I would not be where I am at today without the community I have gained from this group.  We support one another, lift each other up, brainstorm together, and work toward the goal of making this incentive industry the best that it can be.

There are many ways to maximize your involvement as a SITE Young Leader, but one of the best ways to grow your network and meet fellow young leaders is to attend the SITE Global Conference

The education I gained by attending past conferences has been extremely valuable in my career and for the type of work I provide my clients. I’ve learned how to be an advocate for myself, how to market myself in-person and on social media, and how to plan and execute top incentives for my clients. I also have been able to utilize the network that I have gained and partners I have met in my events.

This year’s conference will be in New York City and has an amazing lineup of networking and educational opportunities. Personally, I am most excited about the “Own your Airspace” keynote by Amelia Rose Earhart and for yoga with past SITE Young Leader Aoife Delaney. She always knows how to start your day off in a positive way!

If Global Conference isn’t in the cards this year, there are MANY other ways you can get involved with Young Leaders and SITE.

A great start is being involved in your local chapter. If your chapter has a Young Leaders group, reach out! See what events they are planning for the year and make an effort to attend. If they don’t have a Young Leader group, could you be the one to get it off the ground? Or volunteer as a committee member and get to know your local board members. This is a great stepping stone in getting more involved in SITE and an amazing way to grow your network with industry leaders.

Our Young Leader Committee is also working hard to provide you with exceptional content this year. They will be planning the Young Leader Conference in Las Vegas for October 15 (right before IMEX) and some amazing webinars. Make sure to keep an eye out for more details!

I hope to see you in-person this year, and please reach out if you ever have any questions on becoming more involved or about the Young Leaders program.

Have a wonderful 2023!
