For 3 days attendees connected again, re-igniting their professional networks, learned career-enhancing new skills, and discovered the pulse and beating heart of a truly stunning host destination, while raising over $235,000 for SITE Foundation’s projects on research, education, and advocacy.
“SITE Classic is highly valued for its intimate, boutique setting, and the unique way it fosters meaningful business connections. The new and renewed relationships forged over 3 days at The Del will play a crucial role as our industry cranks back into action again”, said SITE Foundation President, Terry Manion, CIS, CITP, President, Inspire Consulting Limited.
“SITE Classic has been an extraordinary team achievement, a real pan-industry effort involving our host property, The Del, the local DMC community, our auction committee, Foundation Trustees, volunteer leaders, staff, and, of course, our wonderful attendees. Over 240 incentive travel professionals convened live and in-person at The Del and experienced the boundless joy and transformative power of a travel experience while contributing over USD$235,000 towards SITE Foundation’s vital work in research, education, and advocacy. That’s a job well done!” said Chris Wheeler, CITP, President, Wheeler Hospitality Collection & Vice President Fundraising and Events.
Besides great networking, inspiring education, and an in-depth experience of The Del’s recent USD$400m investment, attendees at SITE Classic were offered a sneak peek at the latest results from Corporate inSITE’s, SITE Foundation’s on-going research into the changing face of incentive travel using data from 50 top corporations in the US. Preliminary findings indicate a slight cooling of the optimism demonstrated in the April results with the Coronavirus delta variant impacting sentiment. Full results will be available later this month.
