Planning Mindful Meetings and Incentive Inspirations in Maui and Beyond

Sponsored by Meet Hawai'i

Meeting Mindfully

In West Maui, recent wildfires have resulted in the devastating loss of loved ones, homes, cultural and historic sites and businesses in Lahaina. We are grateful for the outpouring of support for Maui from around the world, from sharing memories and offering assistance to asking questions about travel to Maui and the other Hawaiian Islands. Amidst the tragedy, the spirit of Maui remains strong. With the exception of Lahaina, the rest of Maui is open and welcoming meeting attendees and visitors. If you are considering visiting any of the Hawaiian Islands in the near future, including Maui, please know that respectful travel is welcomed and encouraged, now more than ever.

Planning with Purpose

Meetings, conventions and incentive experiences in Hawai‘i are planned with a purpose deeply rooted in our destination's culture and values. This has long helped shape experiences for each attendee and group – experiences with one common connection: mālama, which means to care for, protect and preserve, and even cherish. The best way to mālama Maui is to visit respectfully and support its local businesses. By meeting in or visiting Maui and the other Hawaiian Islands, you and your group are supporting Hawaiʻi’s economy and positively impacting Maui’s road to recovery.

Inspirations Near the Hawaiʻi Convention Center

In addition, there is an abundance of incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experiences around the beautiful Hawaiʻi Convention Center. Attendees can dine in tented elegance on the lawn of the only royal palace on U.S. soil, ‘Iolani Palace – home to Hawaiʻi’s last reigning monarch, Queen Liliʻuokalani. They can take the ride of a lifetime with surf lessons in the gently lapping waves of iconic Waikīkī Beach. They can disappear into the lush tropical beauty that abounds from mountain to ocean or discover the next food trend before it goes global.
