Do you breathe air? Silly – of course, you do! Did you know that 50-80% of the oxygen we breathe is produced by ocean plants?
Coral Reefs are a kind of underwater rainforest and they are also nature’s barrier to stormwater surges and massive waves. However, just like the rainforests, reefs are fragile and on a decline.
Join us at a hands-on coral reef restoration workshop courtesy of MOTE and the Reefhouse Resort & Marina in Key Largo in honor of Earth Day.
You will learn about the incredible powerhouse we call “reef” which is vital not only as a habitat for fish but our very own survival! You will help restore a reef in the Florida Keys and learn how to protect this treasure. You will have the chance to speak with marine experts and enjoy a networking hour during the magic sunset in the Keys.
The Reefhouse Resort, part of the OPAL Collection, is also offering a sweet overnight deal for those who want to make it a weekend in the Keys!
Space is limited, please join us and/or pledge towards our Reef Restoration project for EARTH DAY 2023.
