Meet SITE's new Education Specialist

As SITE continues to grow, we're expanding our team to make sure our members and the wider incentive travel community have plenty of ways to keep connecting, learning, discovering, and shaping the future of our industry and association.

With preparations for SITE Global Conference 2025 — and other events, in our full calendar line-up — kicking into high gear, we're excited to introduce one of our newest team members, Tiffany Shafer.

---------------------------

Q: What made you interested in joining the SITE HQ team?

A: My interest in joining the SITE HQ team stems from my family’s background in hospitality. My mom was very active in her local SITE chapter, so I’ve always been aware of SITE’s impact.

Seeing this role on LinkedIn got my very excited to expand my career and knowledge in the hospitality and incentive travel industry as part of the SITE HQ team.

With a background in education and human resources, the Education Specialist position aligns well with my interests and skills. Though new to the industry, I’m confident my abilities will contribute meaningfully and I’m so excited for the path ahead!

Q: How do you prefer to learn and share new discoveries with others?

A: I like to learn and share discoveries through open conversations, especially in the incentive travel industry, where on the ground experience is invaluable. While we can learn about everything conceptually, deeper understanding comes from being hands on and executing events and programs.  So, I enjoy listening to people’s stories of their tenure and what they’ve learned along the way.

Q: What’s the most exciting industry education experience you’ve had or been part of so far?

A: I’m still early in my career, so I can’t say that I’ve attended an industry education event at this point. I’m very excited to get to work with everyone at SITE Global Conference in Tulum, Mexico early next year to dive headfirst into this space!

Q: What are you most excited to hear more about or discover from the SITE community?

A: I’m most excited for IMEX 2025. I know it’s an exhausting week, but it will be an awesome opportunity to meet industry leader in person and further contextualize the work that we do at SITE.

Q: What's a fun or surprising fact SITE members might enjoy learning about you?

A: In 2022 I worked as a ski lift operator at Purgatory Resort for the winter, which was very fun and different than anything I had ever done before!

Another fun fact is that I was on a professional ballet company when I was in middle school which led to a performance in the Sydney Opera House in Australia. Truly a once in a lifetime experience that ignited a passion to travel and see the world!

Tiffany will be helping shape SITE programming, as our Education Specialist. Welcome to the SITE team, Tiffany!
