Meliá Hotels International is redefining incentive travel by combining luxury with sustainability. With a bold commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions, Meliá integrates eco-conscious practices into its MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) strategy, ensuring that environmental responsibility is central to every event.
The company’s roadmap to net zero includes energy-efficient systems, renewable energy use, and reducing single-use plastics across its properties. For MICE clients, this translates into hosting events in venues that actively minimize environmental impact. Carbon-neutral meeting packages and detailed sustainability reports further empower organizations to align their events with their own eco-friendly goals.
Meliá’s properties also offer eco-friendly experiences that enhance incentive trips. From farm-to-table dining featuring locally sourced ingredients to team-building activities like beach clean-ups or reforestation projects, every aspect of the experience is designed to reflect environmental stewardship.
Recognized globally for its efforts, including by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Meliá’s vision is clear: achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. The company continues to lead with initiatives like renewable energy investments and waste management improvements, setting a high standard for sustainability in the hospitality industry.
By blending innovation, luxury, and sustainability, Meliá Hotels International is paving the way for a greener future in incentive travel.
