SITE President Kevin Edmunds on why this year’s Global Conference should be on every incentive industry leader’s agenda
There’s so much to be excited about in the new year, but I’m especially looking forward to switching on and connecting with many of you at SITE Global Conference 2023 in New York City next month.
Taking place February 17-20, the event delivers something for everyone, especially for industry leaders.
Here’s why I invite you to join me and to register now (if you haven’t yet) for what promises to be one of our most epic GCs to date.
Supercharge your network
It’s not what you know, it’s who you know that powers us as an industry and ensures we can lead our teams to sell and deliver more impactful incentives.
SITE Global Conference unites all parts of the incentive industry and provides chances for you to connect over the course of three days with other professionals from leading incentive brands around the globe.
You never know who you’ll bump into in a breakout, or even over a cup of “ “>caw-fee” (I’m working on my New York accent, if you can’t tell via text. Catch me at the AGM and see how it goes!)
Top up your industry credentials
We’ve got a great education program this year, and I’d encourage incentive professionals at all levels to take part in some of the Dialogue Dens we’ll be hosting throughout the course of this year’s Conference.
This is where senior leadership and insights can shine, and where new and emerging voices can also jump in to bring fresh perspectives. Our full agenda is here, if you want to see what all’s on.
And for leaders who haven’t done so yet — I’d high-key encourage you to consider joining us a day early and pursuing your Certified Incentive Travel Professional (CITP) status while onsite in New York.
New destination discovery in New York City
It’s a little tough for me to admit as a West Coaster — who am I kidding, if you know me, New York City is my favorite city in the entire world.
I’m excited to recognize our chapter leaders at our opening session at the historic Apollo Theater and to explore venues that you most likely have never experienced before.
We also know trends often spread from coast to coast, a phenomenon fellow leaders have acknowledged incentive travel helps accelerate. See what’s happening out East, and then bring new insights back to your destination or local team to spark fresh thinking and help spread best practices far and wide for the benefit of our clients and incentive participants.
Celebrate SITE’s legacy
I’m honored to be part of a prestigious club of SITE and SITE Foundation leaders, and look forward to celebrating the incredible legacy the association’s line-up of members have built over the past 50 years.
Come get inspired by all that we’ve done and the incredible progress we’ve made, and then leave inspired ready to make your own mark on the industry — and within the SITE community — for years to come
I’ll see you in New York this February.
