UN Day Against Trafficking in Persons is July 30
On July 30, PACT is observing the United Nations World Day against Trafficking in Persons. This annual event serves as a crucial platform to raise awareness about the alarming developments and trends identified by the UNODC and to call for enhanced efforts to prevent trafficking, support victims, and to keep children safe. This year’s campaign theme is “Leave No Child Behind in the Fight against Human Trafficking.” It aims to urge accelerated action to end child trafficking. Children represent a significant proportion of trafficking victims worldwide, with girls being disproportionately affected.
