Costa Rica has emerged as a competitive destination in the global meetings and events industry by focusing strategically on three core pillars: exceptional customer service, specialized infrastructure, and an authentic, immersive experience that goes beyond expectations. This positioning is not a coincidence, but the result of a national vision that prioritizes sustainable development, professionalization of the sector, and the creation of ideal spaces for high-level corporate gatherings.
Costa Rica’s approach to customer service is defined by warmth, personalized attention, and genuine hospitality. The local “pura vida” culture is more than a slogan—it’s a way of life that naturally translates into a commitment to making every visitor feel welcomed and valued. This close, friendly interaction is paired with professional service standards across all sectors, including hotels, convention centers, tour operators, and transportation companies. The country has made significant investments in training and developing its workforce to ensure world-class service in every step of the corporate event journey.
From an infrastructure standpoint, Costa Rica has taken decisive steps to position itself as a regional hub for business events. The Costa Rica Convention Center, located just minutes from the Juan Santamaría International Airport, is a modern facility offering over 15,000 square meters of versatile space designed for congresses, trade shows, and corporate meetings. In addition, numerous hotels in San José and throughout the country offer state-of-the-art meeting rooms, executive lounges, high-speed connectivity, and full-service event support—seamlessly integrating business with the opportunity for leisure, or “bleisure.”
What truly sets Costa Rica apart in the meetings industry is its unique ability to turn every business gathering into a memorable, holistic experience. Events are enhanced with activities that connect participants with nature, local culture, and personal well-being. Whether it’s team-building exercises in lush rainforests, dinners overlooking active volcanoes, or meaningful interactions with local communities, each experience is carefully curated to foster team cohesion, stimulate innovation, and create lasting impressions. The country also offers excellent air connectivity, political stability, and a well-established commitment to sustainability—all essential attributes for today’s corporate traveler.
Costa Rica doesn’t just host meetings—it transforms them into meaningful, inspiring experiences. The country’s value proposition combines top-tier infrastructure, a highly trained and service-oriented workforce, and a privileged natural setting. This makes it an ideal destination for companies seeking not only a venue for meetings but a space that fosters innovation, inspiration, and human connection.
With a clear vision, strong institutional leadership, and a professionalized industry, Costa Rica continues to strengthen its presence in the global meetings and incentives market—delivering not just a place to meet, but an exceptional environment to grow, collaborate, and thrive.
