What is DEIBA?

DEIBA stands for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility. It’s about creating experiences where all individuals feel respected, represented, and able to fully participate.

Why DEIBA Matters in Incentive Travel?

  • Creates more meaningful and inclusive experiences
  • Reflects the global and diverse nature of our industry
  • Enhances attendee satisfaction and engagement
  • Strengthens business outcomes and partnerships

5-7 easy ways to apply it:

  • Use inclusive language in communications and materials
  • Offer dietary and accessibility options for all attendees
  • Be mindful of cultural differences when selecting destinations and activities
  • Ensure diverse representation in speakers, partners, and suppliers
  • Provide clear event information (mobility, dress code, expectations) in advance
  • Create opportunities for all voices to be heard and included

Things to Consider When Planning:

  • Who might feel excluded from this experience—and why?
  • Are we representing diverse perspectives?
  • Are there barriers to participation (cost, mobility, language)?
  • Are our partners and suppliers aligned with inclusive values?
  • How can we make this experience welcoming for everyone?
